Kegan Swimming

Well.....sort of. Kegan has taken 5 days of swimming lessons and I think has made tremendous progress for a 2 1/2 yr old. We will just have to start crashing our friend's pools to keep her skills developing. She has always loved water, so we thought better to get her into swimming before she learned to be scared.

The rest of these pictures are from Madison and the girls on Sunday. I had to work, and they had a grand ole time at home without me. Kegan gave Madison a real hard time in the morning. He sent this picture to me with the caption....."this is what I'm dealing with".

Then after helping Daddy fix the babygate on the stairs, Truly decided to get a little too into the role and started sporting some carpenter's crack!

by lunchtime, they were all sweet and both dressed......about time!

and.....Daddy put Kegan to work, so he could get a nap in

Truly's First Snowball

Over the weekend we passed by a sign for a snowball stand coming soon near us.....and the envie began. The only place we know of is quite a drive, but the girls were passed out in the car after lunch, so we went.

Truly doesn't look like she liked it much, but it was so funny, that if Madison scooped some for himself, Truly would kick him until he gave her some. Kegan did a great job eating hers all by herself. She refused any help. She even shared hers with Truly....she loves sharing with Truly....hope that lasts. Please don't think Kegan's hair is always like this. She pulled her pigtails out in the car while she was waking up from her nap and refused to let me put them back in.

That tiny bite is hardly worth it!

But now, we're talkin!

Now that is good stuff.

Can't......fit......another.....bite!

Come on Truly.....you do it like this, see.

This picture is blurry, because Kegan insisted on twirling in her princess dress from Aunt Alex.

There is Trouble Coming

Parenting is full of so many suprises. I am quickly learning that the suprises only get better with more children. Two together can get into much more than just one alone. We took a quick trip to Broken Bow, OK this weekend and Kegan did a great job entertaining Truly on the ride. To avoid stopping on the way there, Kegan fed Truly Cheerios. Stupid Mommy on the way back home added some honey-roasted peanuts to Kegan's cereal in "her" snack cup. I figured she was getting bored with the cereal. When Truly woke up, Kegan annouced that Truly was eating her peanuts!!!!! Truly looked like a stuffed chipmunk. I pulled 10!!! peanuts from her mouth. I didn't think it would ever end. I'd pull them out and she'd keep on chewing. I guess I should keep a better eye on them in the car. Lesson learned.

Other exciting news, Truly started crawling 2 weeks ago and is already attempting to climb the stairs. Uh, oh! This past Saturday Truly started pulling up and is getting pretty darn good at it. I guess it is time to purchase a babygate for the stairs.

Early Morning Triathlon Watching....and a sleepy baby!

This past Sunday, Madison worked at a kids triathlon in Dallas put on by his triathlon team. It is always so cute to watch the kids race. Kegan and Truly enjoyed watching. It always inspired Kegan to practice her running. She raced back and forth in the parking lot after the race. We are putting Kegan in swim lessons this summer, and she is getting pretty good at riding her tricycle and desperately wants a big bike (she test rode a Snow White one at Academy). I guess after that, she'll be doing triathlons like her Daddy.

The girls just chillin in the thankfully overcast Texas heat

I don't remember what this drama filled moment was all about,

but it quickly passes.....as usual!

Mother's Day she learned to sit up, now she can crawl....everywhere, use a sippy cup,

and feed herself Cheerios, which is all exhausting! She has been working so hard

Truly's love bites from her sister. Kegan was experimenting Sunday with what biting Truly would do!!!!! I don't know what we will do about that. Any suggestions? We have been dealing with biting off and on for a while now. Just when we think we have the problem licked......something like this happens:(

Twimmin in the Texas Oasis

Memorial Day weekend we went swimmin at a friends house in the "big" pool. Kegan loves, loves, loves water. She wouldn't stop talkin about it. She went to bed talking about it and woke up the next morning still talking about it begging to go back. Not wanting to wear out our welcome, we decided to give her something much cooler!!! Not one big pool, but three pools!!! One with a slide and a big blue tarp! what is more fun than that?

Here Mom, catch!

(poor Truly, all by herself in her pitiful swim diaper. Is the small pool, like the short bus?)

See, I'm much more happy with my cute swimsuit on!

Daddy trying to tame Kegan as she sprays Truly with the hose

You wanna drink Truly?

Everyone crashes on the porch after the big swim.
