Thanksgiving week

We had a great Thanksgiving here. We were just too whooped to travel again after Disnyeworld and I was fighting off a nasty relapse of my ear/sinus infection. Making it to work that week was about all I could muster. I could not even begin to think about unpacking or repacking so soon. It all turned out great. We had a great Thanksgiving day at my Nanny's in Grapevine. Paran Aaron was there so the girls are always excited to see him. That night my parents gave us the best suprise by bringing my grandparents from Raceland to visit us. They had not yet been to our house. I wasn't quite sure if they were up for the trip, but they made it just fine and we had such a good time.

Madison says our family has way too many birthday's clumped together......I don't know what he means.....well maybe I do. I left my name off the community cake becuase I ran out of room.

The day after Thanksgiving we had another wonderful visit. About a month before, I received a letter in the mail from the original owners of our house. Tanya, the mother, asked if while they were visiting family in town, could come and see the house. It was actually a request of her oldest son. It was so neat to meet them and learn how much thought and love they put into building this house. They actually did a lot of work themselves. We found out so many neat treasures about our house.....and some helpful stuff too. Here are some pictures of them while they were here.

The mystery of who all those hands belong to is finally solved

Now that we have met the Moore's they will forever be a part of this home for us. They are such a neat and special family. I think our view of this place is so similar. They dreamed this house up with the idea of raising a family and growing old here just like we do. It is the perfect home!

Disneyworld day 8

Our last day we decided to stay at the hotel. We had to make the bus for noon, and I still had some dreaded packing to do. Kegan had been wanting to go the the pool at the hotel, but we were too busy running around at the parks, so she finally made it to the pool. Funny thing, she didn't make it to the cool big one with the spraying flower. She insisted on jumping in to the first one right downstairs from our room and Madison couldn't convince her otherwise. She is a stubborn little toot! She definitely doesn't get that from me.....ha, ha.

Daddy, it's freezy!

It's a cold walk from the pool, but it sure was fun!

Sadly waiting for the bus:(

Bye Mickey.....We are gonna miss you!

But, on a brighter note, here are a few of Nana's honorable mention pictures from Disney. She sent us a cd with hers. She got some great ones.

Disneyworld day 7

On our 7th day at Disney, we decided to hang out at Magic Kingdom as much as possible.....it was after all our last day in the parks.

First we headed to Toontown because we actually had not done that yet. Kegan found the water and there was no doing anything else for a while. Truly had a blast watching her sister run around like a crazy person as usual.

Ahhhhhhh, ahhhhhh!

That sister is soooooo crazy, Ooooooh look at the water!

That water hit me in the face. Mommeeeeeeeeeee!

As you can see, Kegan had to be escorted out

She was a complete wet rat. We had to strip her of her dress and wring it out by hand and let her run around in her tshirt and bloomers for a while. Jennifer would have died if she knew I did that.....good thing they were at MGM that morning.

After the wet rat dried a little we heard the princesses were hanging out just across the street, so we went take a peek!

This is soooooo exciting!
Hi Cinderella, I'm Kegan!

Belle, I got a bobo yesterday. See my bandaid. It's princess Jasmine.

I love you Princess Aurora!

Silly princesses!

We hung out for lunch and caught an afternoon parade while Kegan crashed after all her princess excitement. Then we headed back to MGM, aka Holywood Studios, to see the Osbourne lights again. The Pepper bunch was there still.

After we shut the park down, we picked up a Mickey snack on our way out. It was yummy. Huge enough for us all to share.....except Ava. "That's yucky, I want my own" as Ava put it. Perhaps her good hygenic manners are why she is sick half as much as my crew that I let eat stuff by the 3 second rule and a quick blow off.

Then, it was time for all the pretty princesses to take a bath and have sweet dreams on there last night at Disney.....awwwww!
P.S. it took me so long to post this blog because we updated to Internet Explorer 8 and it wouldn't allow me to click and drag pictures beyond the viewed page. With Explorer 7 it would just scroll when you got to the top or bottom of the page. I finally figured out how to get back to the old version. Any other bloggers out there having similar problems??? surely there has to be some sort of patch for that.

Disneyworld day 6

Day 6 we went to Epcot. Kegan had seen the this jumping water the night before and was ready to check it out. Truly dozed off as soon as we got in the park, so we hung out for a while the rest of the crew checked out Figment. After that, it was water time!

wait for it.......

ahhhhhhhh!

that was fun!

whatcha guys doin over there?

U guys are tryin to catch water!?

Oooooh! Yeah, I'm not impressed? I'm hungry!

So, after working up an appetite, we headed to Tepan Edo in Japan. Our waiter made his rendition of the smoking volcano. Very Disney cool!

We heard a rumor that Princess Aurora hung out in nearby France, so we quickly found her and Kegan was having a hard time waiting her turn.
just when she thought her turn would never come....

Look Aurora, my dress matches yours!

The two princesses

next was Great Britan and Mary Poppins

Kegan was so sweet with Mary Poppins. Before we left she made sure to inform Mary that her umbrella was just like hers at home.

Disneyworld days 3, 4, and 5

Day 3 started off early with a breakfast at 1900 Fair in the Grand Floridian hotel. They had this really cool life-sized gingerbread house being built in the lobby. We celebrated Truly's birthday at this breakfast. Both she and Kegan were thrilled about all the characters....that was until the big furry ones tried to touch them. But they sure were great to admire from afar.

Alice was one of the first characters at our table. Kegan really liked her, but then kind of insulted her by answering one of her questions with "can you send Mary Poppins over". The look on Alice's faced was kind of priceless. I wonder if they really get paid enough to put up with stuff like that. After the akwardness settled she told Kegan she would have to wait for the wind to change.

Ummmmm, birthday Mickey cupcake!

If I keep ignoring him he'll just walk away and leave my chocolate Mickey alone.

Apparently seeing Tigger for the first time was Truly jawdropping......kind of punny!

Isn't Mary just beautiful!

Day 4 was Animal Kingdom. Since Kegan patiently waitied while the big kids all went on Expedition Everest, we let her get her face painted.
see how cute she looked!

But that didn't make Jennifer the happiest, because then Ava was next.

Oh, and then there was Evan too. The girls both had most of their paint smeared and off within 3 hours.....except for the yellow in Kegan's eyebrows. It lasted for 2 days!?

This day we finally had it figured out and let the girls get a nap. Mom and Dad were kind enough to watch Truly that night so we could head out to Epcot to meet the Pepper's and this was Kegan and Ava getting their techno on while waiting on the Illuminations fireworks to start.

Day 5 we made sure the girls got their naps in because we went see the Fantasmic show that night.....which was fantastic! Both girls had a blast. Becuase of their good naps, we rushed over to the Magic Kingdom to see the fireworks, then stayed late for the magic hours. It was great. Truly passed out in the stroller and Kegan got to ride everything she wanted to. She was so excited and full of energy. It was so much fun!

Um, Kegan did you realize there is a big frog behind us....gross!

Ava modeling the great princess ears Nana bought for her and Kegan. I ended up wearing Kegan's for most of the day.

I wanna ride the horsey! Was the first thing Kegan said when we got back to Magic Kingdom that night.

Then she was off to ride "Gumbo" aka Dumbo with Mommy. You can take pictures on this cool little elephant first.

Truly sadly did not make it this night:(

But we sure had a blast anyway!

As we closed the park down at 11pm, we stopped once again to admire the stunning castle!
