Memorial Day Fajita Party at the Reese's

Saturday one of Madison's co-workers and good friends had a Fajita Memorial Day party. They have a pool and it was the first big pool Kegan ever got to swim in last year. She was excited to go back. She swam for about 2 hours even though the water was a bit chilly. She was a little blue and shivering, but refused to get out. We had to pretty much drag her out kicking and screaming when it was time to go home. I probably overdid the photos, but you can't have to many pictures of pure joy can you?
Same people, same time last year. What a difference a year can make!
Ready to jump

One, Two.....
Threeeeee!
Whoo-hooo!
Again! (she actually kept signing and saying "more")

Burrrrrr! T-t-t-that's s-s-s-so cold!
Chillin, literally, at the side of the pool. I think her teeth were actually chattering. You can almost hear them.
Should that dog really be swimming that close?
Can't catch me now doggy!
Let's get ready to Superman!
This is so much fun!!!

Faster than a speeding bullett!
Motorboat, motorboat, go so slow! Daddy's tired.

This is about the hundreth jump into the pool. Some of the enthusiasm is gone. You can see Beau, the dog, in the background. Kegan learned to say "Beau" really well. Then she would say "Awwww puppy"

Kegan "enthusiastically" modeling her cute outfit from Nana Autin! She really does like it. Check out the thighs on this kid. I could just eat them.

Finally Pictures of the House

Thank you Mom for these pictures as well as all the pictures of Kegan from my previous entry. I have missed so many moments on camera lately. I find myself not wanting to step away and miss them to get the camera, so I just stay there and enjoy it for myself. One of the best recently missed moments was Madison and Kegan splashing in puddles on our front walk after we watched the rainstorm pass by from our front porch. They had such a good time Daddy went out and bought Kegan some purple ladybug rain boots the next morning and they searched the yard for good mud puddles to splash in in their boots. I guess you guys will just have to imagine. Sorry.

And now for the much awaited pictures of the house. Not too many of the interior because it is not really picture worthy yet. Lots of settling yet to do.

Side and front of the house

The side and front of the house. Yes our vehicles all sleep outside. The previous owners converted the 3car garage into a master suite and never got around to building shelter for their vehicles. Not too good with the frequent hailstorms we get here, so definitely something on our "to do" list after we sell our other house.

Another view looking out across our front yard. There is actually a lot more yard, 2.6 acres in all, but most of it is uncleared mesquite trees and brush.

Kegan's playhouse. Her sandbox is on the bottom. Madison wants to put a slide eventually off of it. Kegan will love that. It is pretty cool that the previous owners built a ramp which makes it easy for little people to get in without having to climb.

Our front porch looking out! So relaxing!

Our view from the kitchen across our dining area into our living room. We have a formal dining area, but are considering using it for a playroom to keep small kiddos from going upstairs. We decided to go with green for the living space mostly because I love green. Most of our old house was various shades of green. Everyone kept commenting on the commercial with crazy kids and the soothing effects of their parents painting the room green. Haven't seen that effect ever. Kegan is rambunctious as ever. Such a sweetie.

Mother's Day Weekend Fun!

We had a great Mother's Day weekend. It started early Friday morning with Nana Autin and Pawpa flying in from Raceland to visit. They had not seen Kegan since early February and she has grown so much in that short time. We just hung out and didn't do too much on Friday. Dad was not feeling good. Picked up some sort of fever virus, but luckily was feeling much better the next day.
Saturday, Uncle Aaron and Madison bought some sand to add to Kegan's sandbox. She had a blast digging in it with her leftover Easter eggs. Her changing table had a mound of sand from her first post sandbox diaper change. I think she put half the sand in her diaper. Saturday evening Aunt Sherry, Uncle Tommy, and Leslie came over to see the new house. We grilled steaks and Uncle Tommy brought over some super yummy venison sausage. Kegan ate almost a whole link herself. We topped the evening off with homemade ice cream and carrott cake.

Wow, is all that sand for me?

Thank you Daddy and Paran!

Who says Easter eggs are just for Easter?

Sunday morning Madison treated us to a yummy pancake breakfast. Mom and I went to the old house and did some cleaning and more packing. The boys played outside clearing off a trail through the mesquite trees. Kegan just loves riding the lawnmower with Daddy as you can tell by the pictures. She even falls asleep sometimes.

That sand sure looks fun again today. Think I'll get in.

Whoa Daddy! This is fun!

How long has it been!?

So sorry to all the family for not posting in FOREVER!!! Mom and Jen remind me all the time. We have been super busy and I mostly have been super lazy. I have been deep into the first trimester throws. I mostly fall asleep arount 7. It is so pitiful. I can't wait to get some energy back. I have also been sick with a troublesome sinus infection, yuck. The busiest thing of all has been moving into our new house. You guys will kill me becuase I still haven't taken a picture of it. So sorry!! I promise I will once we are finished painting and we get all the paint stuff off the front porch. We started moving back on April 3rd and still haven't finished. It has been super slow going. We haven't sold the other house, so we are not rushing. Madison' s race season started back up, which complicates things a bit too.
A big update on our big girl, is that Kegan is officially pacifierless. She decided to throw it out of her bed last night, and we decided to not go and fetch it. I always said I would not become a middle of the night pacifier fetching parent and I'm sticking to it. The fact that Kegan's bedroom is now on the other side of the house is a really big motivator to stick to my guns. I sent her to daycare today with her "Mr. Duck" to comfort her during her nap without her pacifier. Wish us luck. She has really done so well with cutting out all the other baby things. Hope we didn't wait too long for this one. So finally some pictures and videos to catch you guys up on what we've been up to.

These pictures start way back on Easter. We had a really busy weekend with our little Minnie waking us up early Saturday morning after she got out of our yard and got attacked by a much larger dog. We doctored her for three days to the best of our ability along with the help of our vet and sadly she passed away on April 14th. She was our special little girl. Kegan adored her. We had her for 9 wonderful years. We buried her just off our back porch because she loved to sit and sun out there and I bought a rose bush to plant for her. I think it'll make her happy. Becuase Minnie was so sick we stayed home Easter day tending to her. It was really rainy too. On a brighter note, Kegan loved her Easter Bunny stuff....especially the candy.
check out all this cool stuff

Robin Eggs are good!

Even though we didn't get out of the house, we still got Kegan all pretty in her Easter duds compliments of the great talents of Aunt Alex. It is a beautiful bubble. Thanks!

I'm gonna get you Sterling. You had better run!
Happy girl!
Pretty in Pink!
Swinging with Daddy. Kegan's most favorite thing.

the quality of this video isn't the best. Madison sent it to me while I was at work. This is proof that Kegan is my daughter and loves bugs just like me. She is always hunting ladybugs in our yard.

This is another video Madison sent me of Kegan. Kegan will probably hate me one day for posting this on the internet, but it is just so darn funny. I watch it all the time and can't help but laugh out loud. This is Kegan's daily post-bath naked run. She can do it really good here in the new house since it was mostly empty when this video was taken.
Lastly, yesterday at work I worked in labor and delivery and a friend of mine helped me to get some sono pictures of Peanut Flowers. In this picture he/she turned just before I took the picture, so it is of his backside. We got some good crotch shots too, but it is too early to tell anything and we won't be looking at that anymore either. Wanna be suprised. We are getting pretty good at doing our own sono's so we have to be really careful now, not to slip up and peek.

Video of Peanut kicking and rolling around in there.

Joe's Run

Saturday morning the family all got out to brave the freezing weather for Joe's Run. We all did the 5k along with some friends from my work.....some of my friends who shall remain unnamed turned the 5k into a 1k, but hey, it was freezing. We even got to see a few snow flurries as we ran. Madison got 2nd overall and I came out top 10 in the "fat-girl" division, more politely called the "Filley" division. In my defense, I was carrying one child and pushing another in the baby-jogger, so I was pretty proud of myself. I ran with a new-mom friend of mine from work. It was her first run since having her baby 2 months ago.

The Frozen Flowers' Foursome

This is the poor quality picture of baby Flowers. The gray blob in the big black hole is the baby. You can see a white dot above and below the baby and that will be it's arms. You can even see a tiny black spot in the center of the baby that is its beating heart. We already got to hear it, which was amazing since the baby was the size of a grain of rice.

We had a nasty storm blow through Wednesday with some really weird clouds. These pictures don't do it justice. We didn't really get any bad weather here thankfully.

Kegan Just Being Kegan

I worked late Tuesday and didn't get to see Kegan at all, so Madison is always great at sending me videos so I don't miss too much of the sweetness.

This is Kegan teaching her ballerina frog to "ring around the rosie". She was so proud of herself.

We got pictures of Baby Flowers today, but they are in pdf file and I'm not computer savy enough to know how to convert it, so if you are truly desperate to see a picture of our peanut let me know and I'll email it to you. Can't see much, but the baby is about 6weeks and 5days, and you could see arms and a heart beating at 124bpm. That makes it due around 11-14-09.

Party at Gloria's

Monday night a bunch of people met at a local restaurant "Gloria's" to celebrate my good friend Carolyn's birthday (she's a very young 35). We had a great time with a huge turnout. The funniest part was all the kids there. There were a total of 7 I think. All under the age of 2 except for 1. One of the dad's said in lieu of fertility treatments, you should just become a CRNA if you are having a time trying to conceive. Here are a few picts of the family, friends, and children as we ate well and partied hard.

Carolyn (birthday girl) and hubby, Michael
All the kiddos except for Kegan, she was already in bed by the time this picture was taken. She started meltdown mode pretty early. She got really sleepy after her great meal. And before you judge....remember Gloria's is a bar........AND grill!
