Nana and Pawpa Autin visit

So it is embarassing that it has been over 2 months since my last blog!!! Sorry guys. This is a short and sweet blog too. It is just some pictures mom sent me after their week with us. It was a great visit, but even for a full 6 day visit, it seemed so short. We did a lot of hangin around, but the highlight of our trip was an entire day at the zoo. While we were taking a break in she shade at the Great Barrier Reef exhibit, Kegan was really having a great time entertaining us with her interpretive dance moves. This is just a short sample of her long performance.

The visit began with a manicure by mommy

Then we went to Grapefest and enjoyed some yummy icecream with lunch....actually I think it was lunch

Nana decided to have some fun with the girls and drag out the sad half deflated pools....they are all definitely ready to be retired

Truly happy to be in the car....a rare occurance, but with Nana entertaining, it is always fun

Our sweet family enjoying the "museum of living art"

Truly still trying to figure out "who is this man with the strange accent"

Kegan had to stop and pose with each bronze statue at the zoo, this was one of them

Ballerina Kegan

Sunday there was a special on PBS featuring a ballet troop out of Europe somewhere. Kegan went nuts over it. Once she saw the ballerinas in their practice tutu's she was hooked! By the time they got to the videos of their performances, she couldn't take her eye off of their super ornate costumes. The were all "princesses"!!! These are two videos of Kegan with her eyes glued to the TV, trying her darndest to reproduce what she was watching. It is no masterpiece, but I think it is sweet and cute.

Everyone please say a little prayer for Madison. Daddy Daycare officially opens full-time Friday. I don't know if he really knows what he is in for....well, he probably does. He is excited about it and so am I. I think this quickly becoming the best thing we have ever done. He has been cooking dinner and fixin things around the house like crazy. He is planning meals using an online tool mealtimemakeover.com. It is promoted by Dave Ramsey which is a Christian talk radio guru. So far, the meals have been good. I have tweeked some of the menus a bit, but not much. So far our food budget has been cut by almost 75%!!!! That alone is amazing. Between that and no daycare costs, we are hoping that we can break even. If we are a little short, no worries. Our life is already tremendously more balanced. We can feel what it is like to live again and not just survive!

Oh, news on Truly. She has now added "hello" to her vocabulary. She can now say "dada" and "hello". She holds her hand to her ear and pretends to talk on her fake phone.....to her dada. No mama yet. We are trying so hard!

1st time at the dentist

Last Friday, Kegan went to her 1st dentist appointment. She did GREAT!!! Everyone kept commenting on how well she was doing for her 1st time. Kegan let the dentist look in her mouth and poke her teeth with his little poker and the hygentist even cleaned Kegan's teeth with the polisher. We bought Kegan an electric toothbrush a few weeks ago to prepare her so guess that worked. The part I was most proud about was how good Kegan was for the 2hour ordeal. When I went for my checkup, I left 4hours later. Needless to say, we are finding a new dentist. They are way overbooked. We played a lot and practiced brushing the fake teeth and the stuffed monkey's teeth which helped pass some of the time.

This waiting isn't so bad...

I have time to practice my serious face.

and my scary face.

and more serious face....

are we done yet?

finally back in the dentist chair practicing brushing teeth

all done and they feel so clean!

Look at all those clean teeth! Ta-dah!

Princess Diva.....Snow Whaaaa?

and we finish up with Truly stealing the remote!

My Little Dancin Queens

Again, Madison always manages to capture the cutest things when I am away. While I was at work on call Friday evening I received these videos of the girls. Kegan is obsessed with dancing and is getting ready for our Disney World trip watching her princess video. Truly dear thing, just can't help herself when she hears music. She just starts bopping like she has no control over it. It is so comical. If Truly hears any beat she will just stop what she is doing and get after it with her little dance. As for Kegan and her dancin, as you will see, the girl has moves. I don't know where she gets 'em. Not from us for sure. Get ready to laugh!

North Dallas YMCA kids tri

This past Sunday, my good friend Jill's boys Zach and Connor did their first triathlon. It was tough, but I think they will both be great if they continue to do them. There were 196 kids age 6-14 that raced that day. Madison's triathlon team sponsored it, so he was there to volunteer and me and the girls were there to cheer everyone on. Kegan does have her 1st real bike, so between that, her swimming and her running, she'll be ready next year. We found a great used bike at the bike store last week and couldn't pass it up. It is a little boy's bike and is lime green and black. Kegan really wanted the "pink one", but it was too big. Quick thinking mommy bought some princess stickers to decorate the bike with and some cool green nail polish. It is so important to accessorize your nails with your bike! We'll send pictures soon of her on it. She is still a little intimidated. It goes a lot faster than her tricycle.

Look, she is really getting blonde! Except for the dark ends on the long stragglers, Truly is finally becoming a blondie like her big sis. We were almost getting worried she would not live up to her name Truly Scrumptious!

This video is from the cross country camp. I was cleaning in the kitchen one morning and could here all this giggling and playing going on in the other room. I missed videoing the best of it, but here is a little sample.

1st Annual Beaver's Bend Cross Country Camp

Madison is turning a very new and different page in his life. As of July 23rd, he is turning in his general contractor hat for a coaching cap and a stay-at-home Daddy job. It is something that he has dreamed of doing for a while now and we are finally gonna take the plunge. While he has really enjoyed working for Harrison, Walker, Harper, it has just put him away from us too much, so we needed to find some way to take a step back and revamp. We lost the balance in our lives and are thinking this will be a great step in the right direction. Madison has been coaching an Ironhead teammate's daughter, Jordan, in cross country for the last year. Her dad, Ramsey, thought that Madison should spread his knowledge a little more and came up with the idea of a cross country camp in Beaver's Bend Oklahoma. July 12-15 was the 1st annual Beaver's Bend Cross Country Camp put on by Maddog Coaching Services (Madison's new coaching buisness). Ramsey owns two great rental cabins and we rented an extra one to house the 11 athletes, Ramsey and his wife, 2 parent volunteers and our family. We had a blast. Kegan was so proud to hang out with the big kids. The boys were so sweet with her and Truly, and the girls, would take Kegan with them every break they had. She spent most of her time at their cabin. Kegan even enjoyed participating in some of the workouts. She definitely kept me on my toes. She will be a runner like her Daddy for sure.
Ramsey, Madison and all the kids. Scout was the mascot. He was sporting his ear casts that Jordan decorated special for the camp.

Hangin at Home

These are just some pictures from me and the girls at home on one of my days off. We have sucha good time together. They really are so easy.....most of the time. I have to send a congrats out to my little angel Kegan who has finally mastered the potty. We still wear a diaper at night, but only because mommy is too lazy to deal with the possible accident, but occasionally we forget and don't have any accidents! yeah!
Who is that hiding behind that sippy cup?

It's me mommy!
