Don't know if I'll ever get the blog back in order. Guess it is what happens with the 2nd kid. You just turn into survival mode and hang on for the ride. I really do need to get some professional pictures made of the kids.

This is what happens when Mommy and Daddy meet for dinner after work and forget to take you potty.....you make a mess in the restaurant highchair and floor and have to leave in a shirt and pull-up. How embarassing!

This is a super-cute sun suit from Aunt Alex that by the time it was warm enough for Truly to wear it was getting way too small. Still cute. Pawpa said it looked like lingere. Silly Pawpa.

This one may be one of them. I swear I am not overfeeding her! Her doctor assures me this is normal for some breastfed babies....I am still unsure if I trust him.

Just a word of thanks to my dear sister for these....yes that is sarcasm!!! After texting a pict of their new kitty that looks like our old Gidget, Madison suprised us with these 3 amigos. They really are sweet and don't seem to mind Kegan toting them around too much....even by the neck. Yikes!

These moments are so sweet. I can just watch them do this for hours. I can't wait until these times are tainted by the "mom, she's lookin at me!"

Mother's Day Weekend

I lost my camera, but then found it. Last time it was the cord I was missing, this time the entire camera. I think I am officially losing my mind these days. I am just now getting to download the few pictures I have on my camera and may make it to eventually downloading all the pictures and videos from my phone. The girls are great. Growing much faster than I'd like. Truly officially mastered sitting up on Mother's Day and got her 1st tooth the day after. She quickly moved to getting on her knees and rocking 4 days later! Whoa, hold up girly! Truly also weighed in at 21lbs at her 6month appointment. She is on a growth chart all her own. The doctor said that if she was still huge by her 9month then I could start worrying, but it's kinda hard not to. Kegan is becoming a princess obsessed, dramatic little 2 1/2 yr old. She is talking like crazy and has the memory of an elephant. It cracks me up the stuff she remembers. We are making great progress with potty training and have now been almost 2 weeks without a #1 accident and still have a few #2 accidents each week, but we are getting better each week.



This was Kegan at the same age Truly is now. As you can see she still had some of her dark hair left too. We are thinking Truly will end up a whitey just like Kegan.

We had a super Mother's Day weekend. We had our Nana Autin and Pawpa to ourselves for 5 whole days. The weather was beautiful and we spent almost all day, everyday on our porch. We just grilled and hung out. Sunday evening, we crashed Aunt Sherry's family celebration for some good crawfish by Uncle Tommy. Thanks for the great food and good times.

OCD Submersion Treatment

So I have been really bad about uploading pictures to the blog because I feel compelled to have them in perfect chronological order. Well here goes my shock therapy. I am just going to fill the page with random pictures from over the last few months. They are mostly poor quality phone images because of course, since I have time to work on the blog, I can't find the cable to my camera.

Truly's short-lived new trick, she only sucked her thumb for a week, then gave it up.

The next few pictures are from our record snowfall of 12 inches over 24 hours. Kegan and her Daddy had the best time playing in it. I of course got to drive to work in it and did not get to play:( Kegan enjoyed the snow in short bursts. She would last about 15 minutes until her hands were frozen and beat red. This was Madison blowing on her hands.

This is the little Asian baby we adopted....Pu Wu. Not really, just Truly stuffed in her snowsuit. Her eyes look so squished from those chubby cheeks.

It was amazing to look outside and think that this was our house. It was like being in vacation somewhere. Everything was so pretty covered in white.

This was after Madison and I started trying to get my car out so I could make it to work. It was a lot of "work" to get to work! Shoveling with a gardening spade is no fun. Kegan, however, did enjoy helping with her red garden shovel. It was much lighter than ours.

One day Truly will hate me for this, but her rolls are just so impressive. This was her at 3mos and she continues to grow and grow! The pediatrician assures me her weight should straighten out by 6mos, but I dunno?

More sweet sister love! They are really so cute together. Truly adores her big sister.

Truly has finally started to lose all her hair, so we were experimenting with hairbows, since there isn't much to clip to anymore. Cute!

The next pictures are from Truly's 1st WalMart shopping experience sitting in the cart like a big girl! I had to prop her with a blanket to keep from falling over, but she really liked it.

I have lots more to add, but this mama has gotta get to bed. Truly is sick with yet another ear infection and I'm in severe sleep deprivation. We are seeing the ENT tomorrow. Probably looking at ear tubes soon.

Fun, Freezing Times at Mainstays Farm

Since we had our first weekend in a month without company, we decided to keep ourselves busy by going get a Christmas tree. Friends of ours told us about this great place a little ways out where you could cut your own tree if you liked and it had great things to entertain kids like hayrides, pedal cars with a track to race on, a maze, and a super-giant slide. It was fun, but really, really cold. Next year we will be sure to make the pumpkin patch there while it is a little warmer.

Sowy Times in Texas

After all of our Thanksgiving visitors headed back home, we had our second round of snow. It never amounts to much, but it is pretty to watch. We much prefer the snow over the freezing rain we usually get. This has been an unusually snowy and cold winter so far. We are ready for the 100 degree heat to come back.

Kegan's Birthday!

Then the next day was Kegan's birthday. All of our Raceland family that was in Texas for Thanksgiving came to Kegan's "monkey" party. Aunt Alex outdid herself again by making Kegan's adorable dress. We had hotdogs, cake, and banana splits....yummy. Jennifer made the cake and we both decorated it. Never having decorated a cake I think we did pretty good despite our brown polka-dots looking like cow patties! We were pretty proud of it. It did taste wonderful, which is what counts most. Right?
