Windy Weekend

Saturday morning, we all headed out to Trinity tails for a morning run. It was WINDY! Kegan and I were moving on the way out, only to turn around straight into a headwind.....whew. There was a lot of walking involved on the way back. Madison was doing a long-run, so Kegan and I hung around on the riverbank waiting for Daddy to finish. Granted, Kegan's hair is usually pretty crazy, but you can really tell how hard the wind was blowing from this picture.

If I just hold on, I don't think I'll blow away

Then today, we just hung around and played in the yard since it was so sunshiny and warm.

Two peas in a pod

Too many sugars Minnie!

Just minding my own buisness over here in the grass......

Aaaah! Sneak attack!

That's enough, Minnie! Too much. I'm leaving.

This was just a sweet picture. I only wish it hadn't come out blurry.

Barking With the Dogs

This is another poor qality video, but it was so cute....again you may have to initially turn your volume down. Kegan was standing at the back door and barking and screaming at Cisco (our dog). If you listen carefully you can hear Cisco and then hear Kegan answers back with a bark or scream, whichever he is doing. They have quite the conversation going on.

The envy of all the kids at school!

This is a picture of Kegan from a few weeks ago getting her first ride in Aaron's new car. I can't help but look at this and think....how wonderful a family vehicle this would make....vroom, vroom baby!

More chocolate please!

This was after Kegan's first taste of M&M's. She is signing "more". A chocaholic like her Daddy.

Hide and Seek

Warning.....turn your volume down. This isn't the greatest video, but it is getting harder and harder to capture great moments on a very mobile child. By the time I stop laughing enough to think...."get the camera", the moments are over. This was just Kegan and her Dad playing hide and seek. She has started this screaming thing as her signal to come out and get her. It is piercing, but so funny once your ears stop ringing.

Just Hanging Around

Sunday afternoon we had to entertain ourselves away from the house while our realtor had an "open house" showing, so our friends the Sheehan's were kind enough to accommodate us. They have a piano and Kegan gave her first recital. Here is little Liberace in action.

Check her out, even has the ruffled shirt!

Today it has mostly been me and Kegan just hanging out. We started the morning off playing inside and Kegan practicing her acrobatics on her swing.

If these dolls would just move over I could do my tricks....Move over dolls!

This is gonna be a good one

Wait for it....this is gonna be good!

Awwww Ma! I was just getting to the good part.

Then since it was warming rapidly into the 80's, we changed into our summer-ish duds and headed out to meet Daddy and Uncle Paran for lunch. After our tummies were full of Chinese food, we stopped at our neighborhood park. Kegan started it off right by tripping on the sidewalk and skinning her knee. A few kisses and hugs and all was better....actually it was the other kids Kegan saw that made her forget she was hurting. She had the best time with the rocks. Even had a good time on the play equipment. Rumor has it they are planning to "update" our little park. Hate to see all the equipment go. It has all the cool wooden stuff we grew up playing on. Probably replace it with plastic junk that some government agency says is better....ugh!

You sure I can't eat this one Mom? It looks pretty edible.

That's so high!

Whoa nelly. Holding on for dear life on the merry-go-round.

Wshew! I'm sitting down. I'm getting dizzy.

Kegan showing off her skinned knee as she climbs the wooden roller.

A special note of thanks to Aunt Alex for the super cute outfit. It is perfect and oh, so cute! Aren't the yellow sandals great! When I saw this outfit, it was screaming "buy yellow sandals!", so I did. Good choice huh?

This was Kegan's favorite activity of the day. Rocks are awesome!

An Update just for you Nana and Nanny Jen

Sorry Nana, it's been so long. Kegan is sick with a nasty cold so the one picture hopefully will tide you over until we can get some better pictures....particularly without that green beast in her mouth! By the way, thank you Nana for the super cute outfit. We love it.
Sesame Street Zombie

As for Nanny Jen, here are the pictures of Uncle Paran's new car! It is so sweet. The fact that it can fit a carseat in it nicely is so tempting. Scary fast and AWESOME!!! It's a Corvette engine in a mature adult exterior. Perfect for the weekend adventurer and weekday buisnessman combo.

Aaron's car in the dark....sorry, we got what we got Jen.

Schnazzy interior complete with all bells and whistles....except for auxillary port (you'll have to ask Aaron about that one, ipod reject). I think the 400 plus horsepower makes up for it, though.

Check out those horses!!

Weekend with the family!

Nana, Pawpa, Nanny Jen, Uncle Kirk, and Cousins Evan and Ava all flew in Friday night to visit for the weekend. We had so much fun. Uncle Aaron hung out too, so we had all the family together. The kids played and played and played. The girls ran around squealing and throwing little drama fits.....Uncle Aaron swears he is never having kids. The rest of us thought it went really well. No major drama, just girls being girls. Sunday we went to the Fort Worth Zoo. It was Kegan's first time there and she loved it. She wore herself out!

Wow! Look at all the animals! (note Ava playing it cool in the back)

Sweet Evan on a lizard statue at the zoo.

Kegan trashed her other dress when we got home from the zoo, so we had to have a wardrobe change. She and Ava played "Ring Around the Rosie" and this picutre is after Kegan backed up and fell. She usually just falls after the song, but for some reason today, she started backing up until she hits something and then falls on it....in this case, it was on her Daddy.

In this video, the girls are playing nice. Kegan decides to rush the ending a bit, but it was sweet.

This video starts off with Kegan fussing Ava. She did a lot of that over Christmas, but really did much better this time and only fussed Ava a little. Later, Ava called Kegan mean and even told her to hush when she fussed her. Served Kegan right! When they are sweet together it was so cute....even Paran Aaron thought so.

No More Cast......Yeah!!

Friday was the big day that Kegan finally got rid of her cast. We were all so happy to see it go.

Rock on! This is the last time you'll see me with this!!

This open mouth expression of excitement is Kegan's new thing. She started doing it last week and it is hilarious. She will even take her pacifier out just to make this face.

Whoa! Check out this arm! So that's what was under there?

And this also was under there. The scary stuff in Kegan's cast.

I thought I did such a good job trying to keep Kegan's cast clean. I cut up a bunch of my socks and made her little sleeves to protect from some, but apparently not all, yuck from getting in Kegan's cast. I blame her father for some of this for giving her a banana to play with on her way to daycare one morning. It took me 10 minutes to dig it out of the cast when we got to school. It was a scary discovery. While driving that morning, I heard squishing from the backseat, to find Kegan squishing a banana chunk under the palm of the cast....that was yuck. Guess it could have been worse. Could have been broccoli or fish!
